Easy Solution, Morton Grove, Illinois – Consultant – April, 2007 to June, 2007

Wrote custom ETL tool in Windows SAS and SQL to access Teradata tables and load data into Microsoft Access for transport to AT&T. Application included New Jersey and Georgia lives into existing marketing reporting of Illinois lives. Took existing SQL code from Illinois system and made it run inside the SAS code for processing of the New Jersey and Georgia data. Validated source data fields from the New Jersey and Georgia files into their proper target fields in the Illinois output tables. Validated reports against existing Business Intelligence system, to the penny. Enabled Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois to get substantial new business with AT&T. Thought to be impossible, especially in the time available.
 
COMSYS, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois – Consultant – May, 2005 to March, 2007

Supported credit card marketing analysis and reporting for major oil companies and various retail private label accounts at Citigroup Credit Card Services in Deerfield and Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Produced series of weekly and monthly reports that detailed card usage, attrition, and activation statuses. Designed, developed and produced new ad hoc reports for such things as targeted marketing studies by zip code. Worked with programs to transition inactive account holders to active usage status. Prepared files of non-monetary transactions to repair account details at First Data Resources for groups of account holders. Accessed very large databases to prepare market sizing efforts with consideration for risk and privacy. In market sizings, helped balance tradeoff between risk of delinquency and charge-off and promotion of  cardholder base and usage. Addressed ad hoc problems as needed. Documented and improved production. Supported Drug Distribution Data sales tracking system in COBOL and SAS at Abbott Labs on OS/390, UNIX, and PC.

  • Performed business analysis to develop SDLC functional system requirements, determining objectives and methods for conversion of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) from Nomad / VM/CMS platform to Oracle Clinical / UNIX system at Pharmaceutical Research and Development division of Abbott Laboratories. Worked with project management, technical staff and subject matter experts to ensure continued compliance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation 21CFR11.
  • Wrote test cases, supervised test execution, reviewed results, tracked project progress and produced test summarization for validation package.
  • Used SAS analysis and programming expertise to ensure LIMS data would continue to be represented and processed in desired ways in Oracle Clinical storage format as it had been in Nomad.

  • Software Quality Assurance for Voting Technologies International. Verified entire election cycle of touch-screen voting system resulting in stable operation prior to Federal Election Commission Certification.
  • Maintained automated testing procedure for validation of complex medical device at Baxter Labs for compliance to Food and Drug Administration regulation 21CFR820.
  • Provided business analysis and programming maintenance and development support in simplifying, stabilizing, documenting and enhancing Statistical Analysis System (SAS) warranty claims system operations at Harley-Davidson, saving 10% when application was migrated to intranet.
