- Development of new and enhanced underwriting and portfolio strategies to mitigate risk and improve profitability of the Discover Student Loan business. Provide statistical analysis and reporting to support the development and implementation.
- Responsible for developing new underwriting and portfolio strategies for the applicant and co-applicant using demographics, application and credit data. credit policies and strategies.
- Redevelop and optimize existing strategies to adapt to changes in the business.
- Work in a cross-functional environment with Consumer Lending Banking
- Maintains a high level of understanding of competency in statistical and analytical principles, tools, and advanced techniques, including knowledge in UNIX, programming skills in SAS, and any other statistical software used in DFS.
- Develops statistical analysis to provide business solutions and support business decisions.
Skills - Undergraduate degree in statistics, quantitative management, econometric/economics or equivalent in training or experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- SQL, SAS,SPSS
