Skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Masters Degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science (or closely related) with an emphasis in information retrieval and data mining.

Preferred Experience:

• Information retrieval technologies: Nutch, Katta/Solr and Lucene
• Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Perl ?
• Corpus un-structured, semi-structured and structured data
• Data mining, statistics and statistical models
• NLP techniques and text mining is a plus
• Hadoop, Hbase, Pig or Mapreduce, Sawzall and Bigtable ?
• RDBMS, such as Oracle, MS SQL Server and MySQL ?
• Linux/UNIX

• Ability to function as a entrepreneur and work under aggressive deadlines
• Excellent research and troubleshooting skills
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
• Strive for continued improvement
