Senior Level SW Quality Metrics Engagement (San Jose, CA)
Expected Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities
M Squared will provide thought leadership working with an established software quality data team and will leverage a strong engineering and/or mathematics background and passion for collecting and analyzing SW quality and process metrics.
Primary responsibilities in this engagement will include:
- Analysis of voluminous data from numerous sources (defects per hour, reliability curves, bugs, overall test health, customer-found defect percentages, etc.)
- Develop predictive indicators on how current quality statistics will translate into field/customer performance
- Documented assessment of “as is” status and/or hypothesis on what is happening
- Formulation of “to be” state and recommendations on what should be done next
- SW quality modeling based on in-depth knowledge of in SW development process and of metrics used to assess code quality
- Development of solution(s) that bring fresh thinking to our client’s team
Deliverables- Documentation of “As Is” and “To Be” assessments
- SW quality modeling
- Solutions recommendations

Industry Experience
- High Tech industry experience with SW quality leaders; non-client specific
- Significant experience in the software development arena coupled with engineering, mathematics or statistics educational background
Functional Experience- Exceptional knowledge of statistics and statisticals methodologies
- Highly skilled in Excel (including macro creation and Visual Basic)
- Demonstrated experience with bug query tools
- General knowledge of using web tools and posting data to web-sites (web-site creation and modification is a plus)
Personality/Other Attributes- Demonstrated ability to explain complex topics to non-specialists
- Demonstrated proactive team member
- Deals well with change of direction and focus
- Commits to deliverables and is timely in their delivery
