Analytics Practice Lead (Vienna, VA)

Leads the Analytics Practice in the Leadership & Management business unit, providing the vision and direction to grow and advance the analytics products and services offered to the marketplace. Serves as the thought leader and technical expert in analytics topics to design and develop customized client solutions and open enrollment training courses. Collaborates with corporate sales, marketing, and proposals to develop new accounts and grow existing accounts. Provides effective Practice talent management with focus on building the Practice capacity to continue desired growth. Delivers client work using assessments to determine client needs, facilitates open enrollment and customized client training, provides client program executive support, and provides analytics advisory consulting services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales/Marketing/Proposals

• Supports opportunity development and response as technical analytics expert
• Conducts product and service knowledge and training support
• Collaborates with Corporate Sales to develop new accounts and grow existing accounts.
• Supports marketing initiatives to include creation of annual catalog, campaign support, direct mail and ad support

• Consults with clients to assess and design custom solutions to meet their needs
• Contributes technical expertise to proposals to capture new client work
• Performs as program executive for custom/tailored programs
• Performs custom/tailored program delivery

• Provides vision and direction to grow and advance the analytics products and services
• Acts as thought leader and technical analytics expert for client onsite engagements and new open enrollment curriculum
• Collaborates with the business unit staff to develop client solutions
• Oversees analytics product portfolio and liaison with Learning Services to meet product quality, cost and schedule requirements
• Manages subject matter experts (SME) in the product development process

• Manages the practice budget to meet revenue projections, ensure effective utilization of resources and containment of costs
• Collects practice management data and perform analyses to ensure timely decisions and effective management of the practice
• Performs contract reviews and oversee management of practice contracts

• Ensures practice capacity can meet continued desire for growth
• Manages internal and external consultant pool
• Recruits and selects practice resources

• Contributes to strategic and operational leadership and management of the business unit
• Supports internal business unit and/or corporate initiatives

• Knowledge of current and emerging trends in analytics in the public and private sectors
• Knowledge of basic and advanced statistics
• Applied experience using the analytical research model
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent planning, organizing, and strategy development skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Master’s degree in operations research or management, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years’ hands-on experience working with internal or external Federal clients.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in education or training delivery.
