Web Analytics Manager - VistaPrint (Lexington, MA)
VistaPrint is looking for the best people who understand data analysis and how it applies to business practices. Data is critical to the construction, execution, and refinement of marketing and product plans at VistaPrint. The Business Analyst’s core responsibilities involve partnering with the Marketing, Creative, and Analytics team members to translate business needs into data requests, develop actionable plans, analyze results, and present findings.
The manager of site and channel analytic’s work centers on leading a team in the definition, planning, execution and interpretation of detailed web site and channel analyses to help understand where and how the site and key channels should be improved. They partner with marketing to identify opportunities to improve conversion through the site and it’s various channels using both packaged software as well as ad-hoc analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Partnering with the business to translate business needs into data requests
- Tracking, reporting and analyzing campaign results by product, channel, customer segment, and other key attributes
- Partnering with marketing managers to optimize contribution of campaigns
- Partnering with the User Experience and Product teams to optimize the site experience, merchandising and performance of new products in terms of contribution to the business
- Managing the work effort of their team and aiding in analysis when necessary
- Working with their team to ensure accuracy in their conclusions
- Ensuring a strong partnership with the marketing team
- Tackling the particularly difficult analyses
- Performing exploratory, ad-hoc data analysis to discover new opportunities
- Generating key findings, action plans and deliver periodic analytical presentations
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Math, Statistics, Economics or other relevant field required, Advanced degree preferred. Experience in direct response marketing preferred. Strong SQL knowledge also preferred.
- 5+ years of technical, analytical work in a related field, 2+ years managing a team preferred
- Ability to learn quickly and to apply new tools and techniques
- Identify and investigate new research methods and data sources
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing data to drive marketing strategies
- Willingness to acquire knowledge of company databases and to keep current with new technologies
- Must be able to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage projects supporting multiple businesses simultaneously
- Exemplary communication skills and strong business acumen to understand corporate strategy interact with clients and present actionable findings
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Knowledge of European e-commerce landscape desired
- Knowledge of foreign languages a plus
