MVP currently has an opportunity for a
Predictive Modeling Analyst
located in either our
Schenectady or Rochester
office. MVP/PC is developing new and innovative value-added services and products for its customers and prospective customers. Utilizing health care analytics and predictive modeling techniques will be critical to understanding what drives consumer and account value. The Predictive Modeling Analyst, will employ the most advanced informatics data mining tools and methodologies in a cutting-edge research environment.
The successful candidate will utilize MVP's longitudinal data repository of medical claims and survey responses for over 600,000 covered lives. The incumbent will manage strategic projects focused on new product development, next generation customer pricing plans, optimization of marketing practices, evaluations of health plan product structures, and assessments of medical intervention activities. This position will be responsible for developing useful analytics models and provide insightful consulting advice to Sales and Marketing executives that will aid in the identification and development of market segments, key account and product strategies, target marketing, sales strategy formulation and future product offerings.
Qualifications include:
- Graduate degree in applied statistics, econometrics, etc.
- 5+ years of research, modeling or actuarial experience in healthcare
- Proven ability in statistical modeling and data mining techniques (GLM, clustering, decision trees, etc.)
- Experience in preparing large, complex, and dirty datasets for analysis. Experience with large relational databases
- Knowledge of health insurance products and operations.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral presentation and written skills to effectively express ideas and information
- Experience with medical claims and HRA surveys preferred
- Experience with SPSS programming
