Machine Learning Researcher (San Francisco, CA)
Essential Responsibilities:- Apply probabilistic, machine learning and data mining techniques to build models to improve relevance, revenue, and user experience
- Deep dive into the data to understand and apply patterns, while maintaining a sense of the big picture
- Work closely with colleagues on the engineering team to put your research results into action
- Provide thought leadership to guide the direction of Search and Advertising
Requirements:- Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning and data mining
- Experience in data driven methods in computational linguistics, information retrieval, speech recognition, machine translation, image processing or other related fields
- Fluency in Python, Perl, or another scripting language. Experience in C or C++ a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Requirements: - Ph.D. or MS with several years of relevant experience in computer science, electrical engineering, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent
- Recent PhD graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
