We require a skilled OLAP developer in Microsoft Analysis Services Model Development. SQL Server 200/2005 skills are also preferred. The ideal candidate will possess experience in database design concepts including star/snowflake schema. Additional desired skills include C# and/or Java development experience. Application Developer II - Data Warehouse JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Will be responsible for design and development of OLAP data structures using Microsoft Analysis Services tools. Will be responsible for producing design documentation, code, unit test plans, and documenting unit test results. Will participate actively in the resolution of defects during Integration and System Testing. Supports the Code Asset Management process. Designs and/or codes efficient, cost effective application program solutions (develops new and/or reuses existing code through the use of program development software and/or integrates purchased solutions). Utilizes accepted methodology & tools in a disciplined manner. SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 2 years experience with Microsoft Analysis Services 2005. Demonstrated ability with Multi-Dimensional Expressions (MDX). Demonstrated experience developing queries against very large databases in DB2 UDB version 8.0 or greater. A minimum of 2 years experience in Dimensional Modeling. Demonstrated skills in performance tuning & optimization with reference to cube design & OLAP queries Knowledge of the technical suite in use within the application: DB2/UDB version 8, AIX, ZEKE scheduler, Clearcase, ClearQuest, SQL, MDX. A minimum of 2 years experience working within structured project methodologies. Experience with Healthcare payer business is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills.
