Non-clinical Statistician - Algomod (La Jolla, CA)
You will join a small group of statisticians to provide statistical support to the non-clinical areas, such as Research, Drug Safety Research & Development, and the department of Pharmacokinetic, Dynamic and Metabolism.
You will outreach the scientists in research area to work with them on statistical issues. Some examples are:
- Analyze the data with appropriate statistical methods, write summary reports and present orally.
- Resolve design issues and determine the sample size.
- In vivo- in vitro bioassay development / validation as markers of preclinical drug activity, safety testing and product release.
- Monitor literature for new statistical methodology and apply or adapt as appropriate.
- Increase knowledge relating to subject areas.
- Develop and deliver statistical training modules to meet the needs of Pharmaceutical scientific lines.
Requirement:
Solid and broad statistical knowledge, excellent consulting/communication skill and ability to work independently are essential. Must know generalize linear model, and SAS, knowledge of R and strong background in experimental design is a plus. Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics with 0-3 years of experience is required. Preference will give to the candidate with knowledge of biology or biochemistry.
