Contract Clinical Biostatistician (Bridgewater, NJ)
This is an excellent opportunity for a Biostatistician with pharmaceutical industry experience. Our client, an independent, pharmaceutical company that operates internationally, focuses primarily on analgesics, but are also actively marketing oral contraceptives and treatment for respiratory tract disease. They would like to engage a contract candidate for 6-12 months at their office in , New Jersey,
JOB ROLE: The Biostatistician will report to the Head of Biostatistics with responsibilities including: - Providing statistical input at study level and providing trial- related calculations.
- Planning, analyzing and reporting the biostatistical part of a clinical trial, including the introduction and implementation of biostatistical methods.
- Coordinating biostatistical activities with Clinical Research Organizations.
- Recommending resource needs and analysis costs for trials. Working according to ICH-GCP and ICH-biostatistics guidelines. Guiding and instructing Biostatistical SAS-Programmers.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:- University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Biometry or an equivalent study course.
- Solid knowledge of biostatistical methods as well as relevant guidelines.
- Familiar with relevant aspects in clinical research and regulatory processes.
- Minimum 2 years active pharmaceutical industry experience.
- An insight in medicine and drug safety in order to optimize design of studies in cooperation with specialists from other disciplines is beneficial
- International and inter-cultural work experience
- Solid knowledge about the company's key indications and substance
