Senior Data Scientist - Full Capture Solutions (East Hartford, CT)

Full Capture Solutions, Inc., a well-funded, fast growing technology company, is looking for talented and experienced individuals with strong data mining experience to join our team. Marketplace success and rapid client acquisition are driving our hiring needs. Our company's focus is developing and providing predictive analytics applications for the insurance industry. This position is located at our company headquarters in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Candidates should have very strong experience with conceptualizing and designing complex analytic models and algorithms, and possess knowledge of and experience with traditional and contemporary data mining technologies, applied to both structured and unstructured data sets. Experience with handling and understanding very large property/casualty insurance data sets is required, with hands-on experience with claims data preferred.

You will be involved in new product design, continuous improvement of existing products and you will work in a project team environment with responsibility and accountability for assigned customers.

The qualified candidate will have:

• a Masters or Ph.D. degree in statistics, operations research or other quantitative analytical field
• at least ten years experience working with large property/casualty insurance data sets and analytic applications
• at least ten years experience and demonstrated proficiency with SAS software
• experience working with unstructured data
• outstanding teamwork skills, excellent communications skills and a passionate customer focus
