Web Analytics Consultant (Telecommute)

Job Description Our client is a leading direct-to-consumer auto insurance company. They recently bought one of the largest competitors in their space and they have a massive overhaul of eCommerce systems, tools, processes underway. They currently have a couple of people on staff that generate reports, but there is really nobody there that can interpret the data and make business recommendations. To make matters worse, they are dealing with major discrepencies in data, so the managers don't even know what to trust.

They also have data compatibility issues, meaning that the data from one company is not mapping to the data in the other.

In short, they need a consultant to come in for about 6-months to help them make sense of their mountain of data, set up processes that are pulling the right info for the right teams at the right times - and making sure that both companies are comparing apples with apples.

The consultant would re-implement Hitbox (HBX) where necessary and make major adjustments on both sites.

This role will report to th ehead of eCommerce - he works out of the Wilmington, DE headquarters. Ideally, the web analytics consultant could work there with him on-site, but they are open to having someone work remotely and make regular visits to Wilmington.

They would also like to see this person turn into a perm employee eventually as Manager/Director of Web Analytics. It is not a requirement, but it would be their preference.

They are essentially looking for visibility into the impact of their marketing efforts and web traffic (finding dead-spots in the rate quote process).

Qualifications

  • Websidestory Hitbox Expertise (HBX)
  • Ability to consult with business and technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of online marketing & eCommerce
  • Ability to interpret data to make actionable business recommendations
  • Compensation $60 - $75/hour /$100k perm
