SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager, Portfolio Risk Analysis is responsible to enhance portfolio and account management servicing strategies through development and implementation of data driven solutions to mitigate risk. This position is responsible to create improvement in loan servicing through data collection, analysis and presentation of results. This includes the analysis of portfolio trends, risk assessment, management reporting, financial/operational reporting and compliance reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, design and analyze portfolio trends and assess risk of those trends.
  • Work with operations units to execute current and emerging business strategies.
  • Provide recommendations for strategy and process improvement.
  • Possess the ability to create written project plans to set expectations and gain operations agreement
  • Present and communicate results of analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Develop and maintain various databases and reports required to perform the analysis required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or related experience.
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience including three (3) years of portfolio risk analysis, Automotive Finance industry preferred.

Required Skills:
  • An understanding of statistics.
  • Strong PC skills; Microsoft Access, Bio, Excel, Word and Relational Database concepts. Knowledge Studio a plus.
  • The ability to understand business objectives and their relationship to the importance of individual projects.
  • The ability to comprehend instructions, create documentation on reporting and explain complex systems and data succinctly.
