Data analytics specialists collect and analyze data from a variety of sources to develop a deeper understanding of customer behavior. Candidates should possess a strong combination of analytic and programming capabilities. Candidates engage with customers to understand their data related issues. They will then suggest strategies and approaches to extract the necessary intelligence from the data and deliver it to business end users.

Skills you may have include:

• Statistical Analysis
• Translating business questions into rigorous quantitative analysis
• Use of standard statistical packages such as SAS, SPSS or KXEN
• Data Mining, Data Warehousing, multivariate statistical modeling, Pattern recognition, dashboards,
• Modeling of complex data, Predictive modeling, Behavioral modeling
• Strategic data analysis and planning
• Understanding of ETL/CRM techniques, data transformation, data matching and cleansing would be of an advantage
• Queries / Reporting and OLAP tools
• Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Alterian, Hyperion, Hummingbird BI, Informatica, Actuate, Cognos, Siebel, Celequest, Hyperion
