Software Algorithm Engineer (Fremont, CA)
I am a working with a Silicon Valley start-up, located in the Fremont that is looking for Software Algorithm Engineer. This is a full-time employment opportunity.
As experts in broadcast and real-time data transport, our client's software optimizes the delivery of digital media over any network. Their technology eliminates the common limitations associated with digital media distribution solutions over both private and public networks, maximizing our customers' existing infrastructure investments, and enabling expanded revenue opportunities.
Our client's technologies are used today by leading mobile carriers, IPTV providers, and national defense agencies throughout the world and over the last year, they have doubled in revenues and doubled the size of their team.
Primary Responsibilities - Leading contributor to the design, development, test and delivery of best-in-class FEC software products.
- Develops robust and portable software solutions that enable a rich set of reliable multimedia file delivery and/or streaming applications.
- Works with research and development team to develop world-class signal processing algorithms for a wide variety of embedded processor environments.
- Investigates and profiles algorithm performance; identifies and implements enhancements that further improve processing efficiency.
- Works with business, research and development teams in generating a rich set of complementary FEC codec features that accelerate customer integration and deployment of the company's FEC technology.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in CS or EE and 5+ years advanced numerical algorithm development and implementation experience, with domain expertise covering at least one of the following areas: encryption, DSP, FEC, information theory.
- Seasoned C/C++ software developer, with a strong development methodology and passionate about delivering high quality and well-structured code
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, document, and deliver commercial quality software components.
- Experienced in developing software in a variety of development environments (eg, Linux, win32, WinCE, Symbian, VxWorks …) and on a variety of CPUs (eg, x86, ARM9, MIPS); experience in server, handset or
