Project Manager - Data Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst to become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding call-center analytics and key performance indicators. This is a high-visibility opportunity for someone with contact center experience and strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The position will involve key accountability for the design and build of new reports and requires working with business/segment leaders to help them effectively utilize data and analysis results to manage their contact centers.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform basic statistical analysis (classification, descriptive, analysis of variance, means tests) in support of contact center initiatives and inter/intra departmental needs
• Provide insights to contact center leaders regarding data and use of analytics
• Build-out contact center operational dashboards/scorecards for each business segment
• Design, develop and maintain recurring and custom reports
• Working with internal and external business partners, automate generation and display of reports and key performance indicators
• Act as department SME on both internal/external project teams and special projects as needed

• Understanding of database design; experience working with small to large data sets
• Experience with data querying tools such as SQL, SAS, SPSS, S-plus, Business Objects or similar
• Basic to intermediate experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, SPlus, MiniTab, CART, or similar)
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office tools, familiarity with graphing techniques/software
• 5+ years hands-on data analysis and reporting experience in a call-center or similar environment
• BA/BS degree in quantitative area such as MIS, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
• Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, organization and critical thinking skills

• Effective self-starter with a strong ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Passionate about conceiving and helping to build practical solutions to problems
• Presentation skills, including ability to present concepts and data to a non-technical audience

At The Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and we reward performance. Our salary range for the Project Manager - Data Analyst is $68,500 - $92,000 plus annual bonus compensation available.
