Insights and Innovation Team Leader - Wachovia (St Louis, MO)

Team Leader

The Team Leader position reports into the Insight and Innovation CMG Group Leader for Wachovia Securities. They will lead, coach, and mentor a team of professionals to support Wachovia Securities by: 1) conducting customer, financial, market, and product analyses and providing strategic and tactical business decision support; and 2)developing targeted marketing strategies and campaigns. Work closely with CIO and other senior data professionals on integration of Brokerage Data Warehouse and Corporate Warehouses. Collaborate with peers, managers, and business partners to ensure that business goals are met. Leverage internal and external resources to achieve business goals and ensure results. Work closely with leadership in setting direction, determining objectives, ordering priorities, clarifying expectations, executing analysis and managing resources. Develop acquisition, deepen and enhance, and retention programs. Play a leadership role in jointly developing and executing targeted marketing strategies and campaigns for Wachovia Securities. Jointly plan with business partners to order priorities, define key business objectives, and set expectations on targeted marketing efforts. Oversee customer/financial/market analysis for strategic and tactical business decision support. Interpret and communicate results of analysis and make recommendations. Actively promote individual career development; lead by example and mentor others; prepare fair, accurate, timely, and thorough performance reviews. Proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting partner, division, and enterprise needs Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and challenges. Develop prospecting tool by working with external vendors and internal cross-functional teams. Adhere to all Bank, Securities and government policies regarding privacy, and security of customer information.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Broad knowledge of information based marketing or related field. 5 to 10 years of significant leadership experience. Effective communication, marketing, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate with others, work independently, initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions, and accept challenging assignments. Manage time and assist others in managing priorities and deadlines appropriately. Proven ability to establish credibility with partners, peers, teams, and leaders and use personal influence. PC software applications proficiency.

Preferred Requirements: Master's Degree. Experience managing a large team. Significant process management experience. Experience with advanced statistical and analytic concepts. Experience in financial services industry or consulting industry. Superior communications/presentation/project management skills. Experience interacting with Senior Leadership. Superior human capital management and team building skills. Demonstrated experience in SAS, UNIX, and SQL. Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm
