Manager, Client Analytics - Sephora (San Francisco, CA)

The Client Analytics Manager is a key member of a growing Analytics team. The successful candidate will be able to form and communicate objective analytic findings. He/she will contribute by providing actionable, data-driven insights to cross-functional teams including but not limited to direct marketing, site, merchandising, and finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify key metrics, produce and manage a dashboard of these metrics to monitor and help drive the business.
  • Provide strategic and tactical recommendations based on fact-based analysis.
  • Perform advanced ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions.
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional business partners by providing objective information derived from data to support their functional areas.
  • Develop Client flow analysis to identify sticking points in the purchase process.
  • Perform Client segmentation analysis; recommend targeting approaches to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Design and implement tests and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Analyze long term trends to discover opportunities for improvement in Customer lifetime value.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience with database query/reporting tools including SQL, CoreMetrics, SAS, Cognos and Business Objects.
  • Familiarity with online analytics tools such as CoreMetrics or Omniture and syndicated research sources.
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint experience.
  • Innovative thinking in relation to turning business questions into actionable ad-hoc analyses.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analysis skills combined with the ability to communicate findings to all levels of an organization.
  • High energy and creativity; a clear customer focus, an entrepreneurial approach, and comprehensive understanding of quantitative methods, together with superb attention to detail.
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams.
  • Ability to participate collaboratively in a small but growing team, work independently within clear strategic guidelines and drive for efficient actionable results.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute.
  • Ability to present complex findings to varied groups.
  • Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources to arrive at optimal solutions.
  • Ability to foster open communication, influence others, write and speak with impact.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
