Database Architect (PA or CT)Contact Name: Andrew G (andrew@vls-systems.com) Location: PA/CT Duration: 6 months Required Skills: Websphere Application Development ,Cobol, CICS ,JAVA,J2EE, MQ Series,UML Modeling Job Description: Face to Face may be required Use Cases and UML Modeling - e.g. Statecharts, Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Component Diagrams etc. Knowledge of Rational UML Modelling tools - RSM, RSA or Rose Strong Websphere Application Development Knowledge Key grasp of Design Patterns and industry standard architectural principles Key grasp of Integration with Legacy Technologies - Cobol, CICS etc. Strong Knowledge of Java, J2EEStrong Knowledge of key architectural principles - Encapsulation, Abstraction etc. Knowledge of Asynchronous Messaging Architecture, MQ Series etc. Knowledge of Health Insurance industry preferred. Pega Framework - Knowledge Preferred. Will review all current operational data structures and recommend optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted. . Develop and maintain all standards pursuant to data structures and models. . Work with clients, business analysts, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases. Work with Database Administrators to migrate complex large scale applications into system test and production environments.
