SAS developer (Harrisburg, PA)
We have an urgent requirement for one of our client in Harrisburg, PA area for a SAS Developer. The successful candidate will function as level 2 technical support for a web-based self service reporting application. The candidate will research technical issues and develop, test and implement fixes or changes as needed.
Requirements: - Ability to absorb and adhere to architectural guidelines established by corporate and departmental policy
- Ability to work with individuals of different backgrounds, abilities and temperaments in a team-based development environment
- Ability to work interdependently: sometimes self-directed, sometimes in detailed collaboration with others
- Ability to translate solution design into technical specification and modular program code
- Experience developing Reporting/Business Intelligence applications
- Strong Skills in SAS report programming using SAS version 9.1.3, particularly PROC SQL, PROC REPORT, SAS/GRAPH and ODS.
- Must have sound knowledge and skills in use of SAS macro,
- SAS/Connect, SAS/Access and the UNIX environment. UNIX scripting skills a plus.
- Must be familiar with modular programming and the ability to investigate and resolve issues, with sound code debugging skills.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using SQL, on RDBMS systems such as Oracle or Teradata and experience in the Healthcare Payor Industry, especially client reporting is a plus.
