Job Title: Advanced Quantitative Services Consultant
Description: The Advanced Quantitative Consultant will provide technical and analytical support in a consulting environment related to the implementation and integration of predictive models within a client's IT infrastructure enabling client's to realize the benefits of predictive models and advanced analytics as part of their day to day process.
The job functions include the following:
- Perform database design and development using either Oracle, MS SQL Server or DB2 including development of stored procedures and database functions
- Assist with the integration of predictive model results using Web Services, Java or .Net technologies
- Perform data manipulation and data load functions using ETL tools
- Perform custom software development tasks using .Net or Java
- Provide assistance related to technical requirements and technical design assistance
- Present and communicate results to clients
- Provide support and assistance for the implementation of predictive models including development of technical architecture and resulting development efforts
The minimum job prerequisites are as follows:- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics or related field of study
- 2 - 5 years of development experience in .Net, Java or other development platform
- 2-5 years of database design and development experience.
- Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies such as SDLC
- Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Business Objects or Cognos
- Ability to develop technical process flow maps and design documents
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment and as an individual
- Ability for significant travel during peak periods (10% - 50%)
- Strong work ethic and desire to help clients improve their businesses
- Strong desire for success
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including overtime
