Principal Biostatistician - Roche Molecular Diagnostics (Pleasanton, CA)Principal Biostatistician This position will be primarily responsible for working as the in-house statistical consultant; providing consulting services, analyses and statistical reports to clinical areas; and working closely with programmers to provide specifications for report tables and listings. Specific duties will include providing statistical methodology section for study protocol, writing statistical analysis plans, performing statistical analyses and drafting statistical reports as required. Key functions will also include documenting methods, results and statistical programming, in addition to coordinating the quality-control checking of deliverables (reports, summary tables and graphs). We are in search of a candidate possessing a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics, 5+ years of FDA or European regulatory experience, and an industry background in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, medical device or diagnostic company. Requires a thorough knowledge of experimental design, general linear model, categorical analysis and statistical computing. Familiarity with survival analysis and nonlinear models is a plus. Must also be familiar with statistical computing in SAS or S-Plus. The successful candidate will have strong consulting, verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively work on teams.
