Senior Principal/Principal Biostatistician - Wyeth (Collegeville, PA)

Wyeth Pharmaceuticals develops and markets pharmaceuticals (small molecule), biopharmaceuticals (large molecule) and vaccine. We have products in Cardiovascular and Gastrointestinal, Hemophilia, Immunology and Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Musculoskeletal, Neuroscience and Women's Health Care.

Possible locations include Collegeville (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Cambridge (Boston, Massachusetts), and Pearl River (New York City, New York).

Job Summary:

Responsible for the statistical aspects of clinical trial planning, analysis of clinical trial data, and co-authorship of Clinical Study Reports (CSRs). Individuals at this level will typically be the departmental representative on Clinical Project Teams (CPTs) for one or more major projects, and will frequently be called on to co- ordinate the activities of other staff members.

Basic Qualifications:

A Doctoral Degree and at least 1 year of relevant postdoctoral work experience & or a Masters Degree and at least 5 years of relevant work experience. The Job Title of the position will depend upon the individual's education and relevant work experience.

Preferred Professional Experience (one or more of the following areas):

  • Discovery, clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics (PK) biomarker studies, preclinical trials and/or clinical trials.
  • Statistical software packages, e.g., SAS.
  • NONMEM, PKS, EAST, Bayesian methods and/or nQuery experience.
